Science and Art : Padmanadhaswamy Temple , India

 Post 8 Science and Art This is a simple temple located in India. Normally, the temples are constructed with the purpose of spirituality. This temple was constructed and completed in 18th century. Above displayed image is the tower of the temple which is called as "GOPURAM" in Tamil language which is the main part of the temple. The tower of the temple having some marvellous science factors and art. The height of the tower is 100ft from the ground level with the 40 ft depth of the foundation.  Science behind the structure . This "GOPURAM" is a symmetrical structure having 7 floors and the six windows in the centre. The Gopuram express its amazing art twice a year. On the days of equinox, the sun passes through the 6 windows. Equinox means, the two days of a year when the day and the night are equal duration. Post 7 Project 4 : Transformation project  Transformation is the process of creating different looks without losing the original identity of the structure.   Transformations can be divided in to 7 main types, 1. Additive transformation  2. Subtractive transformation 3. Symmetrical transformation 4. Asymmetrical transformation  5. Distortion :- The act of twisting  6. Abstraction :- Displaying and important part of the  7. Fragmentation :- Dividing into fine particles    It was difficult to produce the best design for the abstraction. The other six types of transformations are easy to create and display, but the abstraction is not like that. According to the brief, we need to select identical objects. Abstraction can be visualised in some objects very easily. For example, if we select cream biscuits as an identical object, we can display cream as an abstract. Claude Cormier

Post 4 Remembering the Great landscape architect & the builder Claude Cormier   ( He went to design the heaven on 15.09.2023 )   Claude Cormier is a Canadian landscape architect who was born on June 22, 1960. He studied history and theory design at Harvard University and completed landscape architecture at the University of Toronto. CCXA (Claude Cormier Associates) was established by him in 1994. Later, this company captured more than 100 awards from all around the world. Claude Cormier passed away on 15.09.2023 because of Li-Fraumeni Syndrome.( Cancer) His marvellous designs below,  1.
