Project 4 : Transformation project

Transformation is the process of creating different looks without losing the original identity of the structure.

Transformations can be divided in to 7 main types,

1. Additive transformation

2. Subtractive transformation

3. Symmetrical transformation

4. Asymmetrical transformation

5. Distortion :- The act of twisting

6. Abstraction :- Displaying and important part of the

7. Fragmentation :- Dividing into fine particles

It was difficult to produce the best design for the abstraction. The other six types of transformations are easy to create and display, but the abstraction is not like that. According to the brief, we need to select identical objects. Abstraction can be visualised in some objects very easily. For example, if we select cream biscuits as an identical object, we can display cream as an abstract. But if we select a single material object, it's a difficult procedure, but we can do it.

In my case, I have selected a coffee cup lid. For the abstraction view, I've displayed the lower inside structure of the lid.
